Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
By installing or using PasswordEpic you agree to these terms. Please read the recovery section — it describes a real limitation, not boilerplate.
1. What the app does
PasswordEpic stores credentials you enter, encrypted on your Android device, and can fill them into other apps and websites through Android's Autofill framework.
2. Your passcode, and what we cannot do
The app is designed so that neither we nor anyone else can decrypt your data without your passcode and your device. That is the point of it — and it means there is no reset link, no recovery question, and no support override.
If you forget your passcode, or lose the device, the data is permanently gone. Backups and exports are tied to the device that created them and will not open elsewhere.
You are responsible for remembering your passcode and for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
3. One device per account
On the paid tiers, an account is active on one device at a time. To move to another device you must reset the account from the device that currently holds it, which erases its data. If you no longer have that device, contact support — we can release the account, but this does not recover the vault.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for unlawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to circumvent device or account limits.
- Do not disrupt or overload the service.
5. Availability
Some features require an internet connection and Google Play services. We may change or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
6. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data, loss of access to accounts, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
7. Changes to these terms
Updates are published on this page with a new date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
